The traditional role of Realtor has been to provide information for the buyer and to collect that information from the seller or the local Multiple Listing Service. Along with escorting buyers on tours of homes, buyer agents provided the critical information and persuasion for buyers to buy homes shown to them on these tours.
Thanks to the rise of consumerism, the internet and numerous anti-trust lawsuits by and for these consumers, all information is now free for the taking with or without a Realtor.
In 2012, buyers consult various internet services such as our site at www.BlackburnInvestors.com to do their own research, look at photographs, satellite views, pictures of the house, the street view in all directions as well as aerial views. All of the details of the property including past price history, current and past year tax rates, outstanding mortgages and a plethora of other data with the touch of a button. Realtor.com, Zillow.com, Yahoo, Trulia.com, along with many other web portals provide a wealth of information for the consumer, completely free as well. Free on-line County records provide a history of the property going back 10 years or more, aiding in a further view of property from another perspective.
Now that the consumer has information (perhaps information overload), Blackburn Investors Realty provides help in the process of sorting through what consumers already know. Our job is to help the buyer in pricing, purchase strategy, negotiation with the seller and others, financing, inspections and closing. We do this aggressively on behalf of our buyer clients.
